Happy, Healthy Smiles — From Day One.
Gentle, fun, and completely anxiety-free dental care designed specially for children. Dr. K. Saritha builds great dental habits that last a lifetime.
Building Healthy Smiles — From the Very First Tooth
Pediatric dentistry (paedodontics) focuses on the oral health of children from infancy through adolescence. Children's dental needs are fundamentally different from adults — their teeth, jaws, and oral structures are actively developing, and the experiences they have at the dentist in early childhood profoundly shape their attitude toward dental care for life.
At VCare, we have created a warm, friendly, and anxiety-free environment specifically for young patients. Dr. K. Saritha uses child-friendly communication techniques, gentle handling, and positive reinforcement to ensure every child leaves the clinic with a happy experience and a great smile. Establishing good oral habits early prevents the majority of dental problems in adulthood.

Comprehensive Dental Care for Every Age Group
From babies getting their first teeth to teenagers needing braces — we cover every stage of your child's dental journey.
Baby Dental Check (0–3 yrs)
First dental visit recommended within 6 months of the first tooth erupting. We assess eruption patterns, oral habits, and guide parents on cleaning milk teeth correctly.
Fissure Sealants
Protective resin coatings over the grooves of back teeth dramatically reduce cavity risk in school-age children. Quick, painless, and highly effective — no drilling needed.
Fluoride Therapy
Professional fluoride application strengthens developing enamel, remineralises early cavities, and provides up to 6 months of cavity protection per application.
Pulpotomy (Milk Tooth RCT)
When a baby tooth's nerve is affected by decay, pulpotomy preserves the tooth until natural shedding time — preventing premature loss that causes spacing problems.
Space Maintainers
If a milk tooth is lost early, a space maintainer holds the gap open for the permanent tooth to erupt in the correct position — preventing crowding and misalignment.
Habit Breaking Appliances
Custom appliances designed to help children stop thumb-sucking and tongue-thrusting habits that — if prolonged — cause significant dental and jaw development issues.
Your Child's Dental Development Timeline
Understanding when teeth erupt helps you know what to expect and when to act.
First Visit Preparation
Wipe the gums with a damp cloth. Start dental visits within 6 months of first tooth eruption or by age 1, whichever comes first.
Primary Teeth Eruption
All 20 milk teeth appear. Teething discomfort is normal. Begin brushing with a rice-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste as soon as the first tooth appears.
Mixed Dentition Phase
Permanent incisors replace baby teeth. First permanent molars erupt — these are highly cavity-prone. Fissure sealants are strongly recommended at this stage.
Transition to Permanent Teeth
Remaining milk teeth shed and permanent teeth complete eruption. Orthodontic assessment recommended — interceptive treatment is most effective at this age.
Adolescent Dental Care
Wisdom tooth monitoring begins. Orthodontic treatment (braces or Invisalign Teen) most commonly started. Sports mouthguards recommended for active teens.
Preventive Recall Programme
Every 6-month check-up maintains oral health and catches any developing problems — cavities, gum changes, or alignment issues — at their earliest and most treatable stage.
Parents Ask — We Answer
The first dental visit is recommended within 6 months of the first baby tooth erupting, or no later than the child's first birthday. Early visits are gentle and educational — they allow Dr. Saritha to check development, advise parents on care, and help the child become comfortable in the dental environment before any treatment is needed.
Absolutely. Baby teeth are not just temporary placeholders — they guide permanent teeth into correct positions, maintain space in the jaw, help children speak and chew properly, and boost self-confidence. Early loss of baby teeth due to untreated decay leads to crowding, misalignment, and the need for orthodontic treatment later.
Dental anxiety in children is very common and entirely manageable. Dr. Saritha is trained in child behaviour management techniques including Tell-Show-Do, positive reinforcement, and gradual desensitisation. We start with non-threatening visits where children simply explore the chair and instruments before any treatment — building trust at every step.
